Another week has gone by and we are realizing that we have no time for anything but school. It pretty much feels like everyday life. We get up, make breakfast, go to school for four hours, come home, eat lunch, do our homework, get in a little exercise, eat dinner and go to bed. In between the daily routine we buy groceries, wash our laundry and walk the neighborhood. Not too exciting.

We have managed to go to a movie with a couple we met. They pastor a local church in Montevideo.

On another day we had lunch with our classmates, Roger and Beatrice, from Switzerland. I tried the Uruguayan favorite, chivito, which is similar to a hamburger. Last Friday night, we got to experience Carnival with Roger and Beatrice.

.Carnival is quite the fiesta that goes on for a month with many different events over that period of time.

We are learning a lot about the Spanish language but we are far from being able to converse on a meaningful level. Our expectations have been brought down to reality in a matter of weeks.
Hasta luego,
Scott and Sarah
